Very Rare 70's vintage Swiss Omax Spaceman automatic movement wrist watch.
Designed by Andre le Marquand, (commissioned by Claude Lebet and Francis Bourquin, of Catena Bulle Switzerland), it was an homage to the 1969 space launch.
The shape is said to be inspired by astronaut helmets.
There is a date window at the 3 o'clock position, non quick set.
The fibreglass back of the watch features the moulded fiberglass picture of a Spaceman.
The single piece watch strap is either leather or Dupont Corfam (artificial leather)
25 jewel.
The watch measures 43 mm top to tail, 48mm side to side
This very unique watch is in excellent condition.

The watch "works" though may require professional adjustments/tuning as I am not an expert; the mechanism appears to shift out of plumb within the fiberglass back.
